Carolina feels her experience as a an elementary teacher, as an artist, and as a mom allows her to capture love between mother and thier families in it's most simplistic form, so there will be enough room for all that is truly important. She wants you to know:
"I'm here to give you the gift of love captures through my eyes. I see you mama, and I hear you. I'm here to do what your heart yearns for. You know that moment you hold your little in your arms, and you notice he feels more like a boy and less like a baby? Or when you pick up your daughter and realize her chubby belly has disappeared and wonder, how in the world did you get so big? Your little one runs to you, with overflowing joy, wraps himself in your arms and the world stops, you stop, they stop. You want to memorize, to engrave the moment. I'm here to pause life for you. Let's replace the posed smiles for the authentic. Let's capture what it means to be fully present with those you love most in the world. If you would like to chat about a session, I'm here to listen. I want to hear your story and fill your heart. Contact me to begin planning an unforgettable session."

Susana Marquez M.A., MFT
Maternal Mental Health Clinician
When a woman has a baby, it is a moment of excitement, happiness, love and pure joy. Though it can also be a time in which a woman feels sad, lonely, nervous, worried, abandoned, neglected, scared, cries a lot, feelings of inadequacy even suicidal ideation. As a PPD/PPA survivor, I know all too well the struggles & challenges of being a mother of an infant & feeling non-existent or not know how to keep going. My biggest passion is providing validation, strength and empowerment to all mother's through their motherhood journey. I help my clients, mother's, find their tribe, their support system, their voice and their strength to help them through the challenging times of motherhood so they can learn to self care, manage stress effectively and not pour from an empty vessel. As a Latina, I provide services in Spanish and cultural traditions, myths, expectations are explored and/or challenged so that the mother finds her own sense of identity in her journey.
Every mother's struggles and symptoms are different, no motherhood journeys are the same. I have received training on perinatal mood disorders, symptoms and treatments from Maternal Mental Health Now.
My educational background includes an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, a Doctorate of Psychology (in progress) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University in Irvine. I earned a BA in Sociology from California State University Long Beach.
